In W.M.Houck's R.I.B. Event four players produce resonances in aluminum pan lids while a rotating baffle deflects the sound into the room. Mills College in the Ensemble Room.
5pm: The Waking of Leafy Pools
Amplified objects made of glass and metal are manipulated by Key Ransone in the resonant outdoor setting. Mills College in the Greek Theater.

Robert Gitt (USA), Preservation Officer at the UCLA Film and Television Archive, presents and illustrated talk on the history of sound for motion pictures, covering the past one hundred years from Edison cylinders to Dolby Stereo. Pacific Film Archive. Admission: $5.50.
8pm: Ikue Mori, Marina Rosenfeld, & Members of the Center for Contemporary Music
